Our client in Huskvarna is looking for a junior Laboratory Engineer with a focus on Engine Drivability Calibration for their testing and verification operations. The role is part of the development of the next generation of handheld, fuel-driven products for forest and urban environments. The business is characterized by technical innovation with a focus on sustainable solutions, where both hardware and software are developed in close collaboration between different functions. You will be part of an expanding organization with a high technical pace and many points of contact.

In this role, you will work with calibration and mapping of both hardware and software for engine control systems in handheld products. The work involves practical measurements in a lab environment combined with analysis and interpretation of driving data related to the drivability of the engines. You will participate in the functional development of control systems, verify engine functions, and ensure that established testing requirements are met. Furthermore, the role includes work with testing instructions and design guidelines as well as technical investigations related to drivability. Travel, both nationally and internationally, may occur in this assignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical or electronic engineering

• Relevant experience in engine calibration or related technical fields

• Good general technical understanding and interest in both theory and practical work

• Ability to analyze data and solve technical problems

• Good collaboration skills and enjoys roles with many points of contact

• Very good knowledge of Swedish

Meritorious

• Experience with engine calibration tools

• Experience with mechanical processing, such as turning and milling

• Experience with design and/or lab operations

• A genuine interest in engines and engine control

Conditions

The assignment is full-time (100%) and performed on-site in Huskvarna with no possibility for remote work. The start date is February 2, 2026, and the assignment runs until December 31, 2026. This is a consulting assignment, where you will be employed as a consultant with us at Q and work for our client in Huskvarna.
